இதோ எந்தன் தெய்வம் முன்னாலே

கடவுளை தேடும் மனங்களுக்கு,.....................................


இதோ எந்தன் தெய்வம் முன்னாலே
நான் ஒரே ஒரு புன்னகையை கண்டேனே

Here is my  God!, in front of me,
I saw it in the single smile (of you),

பாசம் உள்ள பார்வையிலே கடவுள் வாழ்கிறான்
அவன் கருணை உள்ள நெஞ்சினிலே கோவில் கொள்கிறான்

in one’s affectionate look, “God” lives,
“God” lives in the hearts of the kind,


அவன் பூ விரியும் சோலையிலே மணப்பான் 
இசை பூங்குயிலின் தேன் குரலில் இருப்பான் 

“God” is every where , he is in the fragrance and beauty of the blooming flowers,
he is in the sweet voice of the nightingale,


குளிர் மேகமென தாகத்தையே தனிப்பான் 
தளிர் கொடி விளையும் கனிகளிலே இனிப்பான் 

he is in the cold cloud that rains and quenches the thirst,he is in the sweetness of fruits 

பல நூல் படித்து நீ அறியும் கல்வி 
பொது நலம்  நினைத்து  நீ வழங்கும் செல்வம் 
பிறர் உயர்வினிலே உனக்கிருக்கும் இன்பம் 
இவை அனைத்திலுமே இருப்பதுதான் தெய்வம் !
இவை அனைத்திலுமே இருப்பதுதான் தெய்வம் !!

The knowledge you gained by reading numerous books,
The money (riches) you gave (donated) for the good of people,The happiness  you feel in other’s progress,
in all these deeds is “God”,


தன் வியர்வையிலும் உழைப்பினிலும் வாழ்வை 
கண்டு தொழில் புரிந்து உயிர் வளர்க்கும் ஏழை 
அவன் இதழ் மலரும் சிரிப்பொலியை  கேட்டேன் 
அந்த சிரிப்பினிலே இறைவனை நான் பார்த்தேன் !
அந்த சிரிப்பினிலே இறைவனை நான் பார்த்தேன் !!


The poor who lives his life on the basis of his sweat and hardwork,
he goes to work and raises himself,
I heard his heartwarming laughter,
in his laughter I saw “God”.
